Drifted

Two signal states. Only two. On track shows the full thread lit from True North to Daily 3. Drifted breaks the thread at the exact point of misalignment — showing how far the disconnection has traveled downstream.

The Architecture

Two Tracks. One System.

Ideal results require ideal behaviors — and your process and systems drive that behavior. Throughline runs two parallel tracks that reflect exactly that.

Goal Track
The Ideal Results
Cascades from your annual goal down through quarterly milestones, weekly commitments, and the Daily 3. Every action is traceable to a vision that matters.
Non-Negotiables Track
The Ideal Behaviors
Runs in parallel. These are the recurring behaviors that make goals inevitable rather than hopeful. Not tasks — commitments. They don't cascade. They anchor.
The Cascade
True North
Your Personal Vision Statement
Set at onboarding. Permanent anchor. Everything else flows from here. Never changes unless you've fundamentally changed what winning looks like.
Annual Goal
What Winning Looks Like This Year
Four-question structure captures the goal, the arrival picture, the evidence, and the measure. Guided or manual — same output either way.
Quarterly Milestone
What Needs to Be True in 90 Days
Default planning cadence. Week X of 13 shown for orientation. Monthly bucketing is visual only — no additional planning layer to manage.
Weekly Commitments
What Needs to Happen This Week
3–5 across all active goals combined. Outcome-framed — not what you'll work on, but what will be different by Friday.
Daily 3
Three Things That Don't Slip Today
Forced constraint. Always three. Each linked to a weekly commitment. Everything after is priority four and beyond — get to it, delegate it, or defer it. But these three move.
Founding Prompt — True North
A year from now, what would need to be true for you to feel like you made it count?

The Language of Throughline

These terms are final. Used consistently across all screens, onboarding, and help text.

Throughline
The invisible thread connecting True North to Daily 3. The system itself.
True North
The user's personal vision statement. Set at onboarding. Permanent anchor.
Daily 3
The three specific actions that do not slip today. Forced constraint.
Non-Negotiables
Recurring behaviors that make goals inevitable rather than hopeful.
On the Throughline
The daily and weekly signal for normal — executing in alignment with goals.
Drifted
The daily and weekly signal for off track — recovery needed.
Arrival Picture
The internal image of what reaching a goal looks and feels like. Always shown in the user's exact words.
Dead Fish Check
A challenge that fires after Non-Negotiable entry. Even a dead fish can go with the flow — are you moving upstream?
